Overview

UpdateAI helps Customer Success and revenue teams turn customer conversations into structured insights—making it easier to capture action items, understand stakeholders, identify risks, and keep teams aligned.

The product offered powerful functionality, but communicating that value through a marketing website was challenging. UpdateAI needed a clearer product story, stronger visual presentation, and a website experience that could make a sophisticated AI platform feel simple, credible, and immediately useful.

The challenge

UpdateAI was not a simple note-taking product. Its value extended across meeting recaps, stakeholder profiles, product feedback, account intelligence, follow-up actions, and team integrations.

The challenge was to explain these connected capabilities without overwhelming visitors.

The website needed to help a busy Customer Success leader quickly understand:

  • What UpdateAI does
  • How it fits into their workflow
  • What happens after a customer meeting
  • How the product saves time and improves account knowledge
  • Why it is different from a generic AI meeting assistant

This required more than a visual redesign. It required turning a complex product into a structured and understandable customer journey.

My role

I worked as UpdateAI’s website designer and developer, collaborating directly with the founder and internal team throughout the project.

My responsibilities included:

  • Website strategy and information architecture
  • Messaging hierarchy and product storytelling
  • UI/UX design in Figma
  • Visual direction and reusable design systems
  • Custom product graphics and interface mockups
  • Responsive Framer development
  • Animation and interaction design
  • Product-data anonymization for public visuals
  • Website QA, revisions, and launch support
  • Supporting tracking and website integrations

The strategy

Rather than presenting UpdateAI as a collection of disconnected features, I organized the website around three outcomes that mattered to its audience:

Save time

Show how UpdateAI reduces the manual work that happens before, during, and after customer meetings.

Increase account knowledge

Explain how conversations become structured stakeholder profiles, meeting recaps, product feedback, risks, and account-level insights.

Accelerate growth

Connect better customer intelligence with stronger follow-ups, internal alignment, retention, and expansion opportunities.

This created a more focused narrative and helped every section contribute to one connected product story.

Showing the product instead of only describing it

For an AI SaaS company, generic illustrations and abstract claims would not provide enough credibility.

I created custom product visuals based on UpdateAI’s real interface and workflows, including:

  • Meeting recaps
  • Account insights
  • Stakeholder profiles
  • Action items and follow-ups
  • Communication profiles
  • Product-feedback summaries
  • Risks and opportunities
  • Slack and workflow integrations

Realistic product data was added to make the screens feel useful and believable, while personal and customer information was carefully anonymized before being used publicly.

This allowed visitors to understand the product visually instead of relying on long explanations.

Designing a connected product journey

The website was structured to progressively answer the buyer’s most important questions.

It moved visitors from the high-level promise into specific outcomes, product workflows, interface examples, integrations, use cases, and conversion actions.

Motion and interaction were used to support the story—not simply for decoration. Product visuals, content, and transitions worked together to demonstrate how information moved from customer conversations into usable account intelligence.

Building a scalable visual system

The project was designed as more than a single landing page.

I created a reusable visual and layout system that could support:

  • Product pages
  • Feature sections
  • Account Insights content
  • Campaign landing pages
  • Guides and educational resources
  • New product screenshots
  • Future website updates

Reusable components, consistent spacing, responsive behavior, and flexible content patterns made it easier for the website to grow alongside the product.

The result

The final website gave UpdateAI a clearer and more credible way to communicate a technically sophisticated product.

It transformed a broad set of AI features into a structured product story, showed the platform in realistic customer workflows, and gave the company a stronger visual foundation for future marketing.

The initial project also developed into a longer collaboration covering additional product pages, campaign assets, product visuals, guides, and ongoing website improvements.

Rather than delivering only a redesigned page, I helped UpdateAI create a scalable system for explaining and marketing its product.

“Working with Mehdi to redesign the update.ai marketing site was a seamless experience from start to finish. He has a rare ability to translate complex AI concepts into a clean, intuitive, and visually stunning web experience. His mastery of Framer ensured that we didn't just get a static site, but a high-performance marketing tool with fluid animations and perfect responsiveness. If you need a designer who understands the intersection of high-end aesthetics and conversion-focused UX, go to Mehdi.”
